My goal for this website is to help you get your IFR fixed cheaper than anywhere else;
assist in helping you find parts to fix your unit yourself; evaluate common problems;
share a few tricks; and possibly start a discussion forum.
Again, thank you for stopping by and you are very welcome to send in your comments or
suggestions on how I could make this a better site for you to visit.

KG Electronics started off as a hobby that has grown to where I needed to set up a small business.
After working for IFR for several years, I decided to move on and I am now with
another electronics company. Never losing my enthusiasm for service work on the
IFR 1200 and 500, I began doing repair on evenings and weekends.
My experience on the bench includes over 7 years at IFR working only on 1200's & 500's.
I have well over 20 years of experience as a service tech and I estimate that I have repaired
over 1000 units. Common problems with a service monitor can be usually diagnosed in a matter
of minutes, rather than hours or days. Obviously, this translates to savings for you (the customer),
especially when repair facilities can easily charge you an arm and a leg sometimes with much less
experience on the equipment. Another factor is "I love this box!". And so I am in this hobby/ business
for a deeper satisfaction. The hourly rate is based upon upkeep of the test equipment that I use and to possibly upgrade as
time goes on.
