Parts Repair Used Test Equipment

 

We have a good inventory of the most common repair parts and others as well. Some of these repairs can actually be done by the customer. One of the main problems I see is damaged boards due to improper soldering. This area is often overlooked and as a result can drive the cost of repair out into orbit! If you have an older type of unit, especially with the "old" blue PC boards, extra precautions should be taken in order to protect the pc pads on the board. This is when a desoldering machine is quite indispensable. Also, if you are not comfortable with a soldering iron, I highly recommend you find someone who is; otherwise, send your unit or module in for repair. If you need knobs, switches, connectors, etc. or just need help in some diagnostics, call or send me an email and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

MODULES

My module inventory has increased to where I can supply you with a module swapping option. I will be glad to help you troubleshoot your unit over the phone and send out a module to fix your unit. There are many different revisions of a particular module but I will help you with this part of the process. Send me an email and I'll discuss the terms, trade in etc..

STEP ATTENUATOR

If you are having level stability problems with your attenuator, replace it. I will sell you a refurbished attenuator that has been totally overhauled with a more durable grounding plane. This has been a known problem for years, and a guaranteed fix is available. A 6-month warranty is included. If you prefer to install it yourself, I can send out a refurb and you can send me the old one as a trade-in. As always, I will be glad to talk you through the process to do it yourself if you need me too.

BATTERY

Currently we are stocking on Brand New batteries (call or email to reserve). You may choose to send your old shell and connector (not broken) to be restored with a brand new cell. If you prefer to wire it yourself we use 14 gauge stranded wire for your info.
